One size does not fit all when it comes to estate planning. Each individual client is unique. Yes, everyone should have a will, a health care proxy, and a power of attorney, but many variables go in to customizing the best version of those tools to meet a client's needs.
Some clients' main concern is ensuring their minor children's security by selecting guardians and providing for their financial future. Other clients are concerned about lowering the tax liability on the estate that they will pass on to their children and grandchildren. Some clients wish to make gifts during their lifetime, and others want to create trusts that will allow them to protect assets for the benefit of future generations.
My role is that of a counselor. I will guide you through the questions you need to consider to determine what you need to implement your intentions. Most clients need a mixture of estate planning tools to meet their needs. I would be happy to meet with you to discuss your intentions for the future. Most estate plans can be completed with two meetings. You'll be glad you did it.
